There are also plenty of bars and tap houses and other places to drink beer that are worth a visit including a combination dog-park-beer-garden.

Breweries in Redmond Oregon
There are three breweries that have an established physical presence in Redmond Oregon that goes beyond a single tap. They all brew and sell great beer in downtown Redmond.
Wild Ride Brewery
Wild Ride Brewery is a local hub in downtown Redmond that has an inviting ambiance and a reasonably priced beer selection. Pair your tasty drinks with food from one of several excellent food trucks.
The spacious outdoor patio is a common gathering spot for locals during warmer months and is full of chit chat on any given weekend.
Wild Ride is one of our favorite places to meet with friends and family as the outdoor patio is especially suitable for larger groups and often easy to find a spot.
We also appreciate that Wild Ride has some of the cheapest pints in town, and the brews are always great. If you’re brave, try one of their beer slushies, but we prefer our beer and slushies separate.
Local Tip: Swing by on Wednesdays (local’s night) for discounted drinks, and check out their events page to see when there is live music.
Kobold Brewing
Kobold Brewing has a pub in downtown Redmond, though they brew at a different location in town. They have reliable flagships and creative seasonals.
In addition to solid beers, they host fun events like trivia in their small indoor space and outdoor patio.
There is typically a food truck as well. Overall, Kobold is a local favorite to enjoy a cold one and a conversation.
Local Tip: Kobold has an excellent trivia night (see their events page).
Initiative Brewing
Initiative Brewing is a great spot for a burger and a beer. Their indoor seating and bar is homey and inviting, and they have a nice shaded outdoor patio in the warmer months.
We come here occasionally with friends and family and it is the perfect place to enjoy some local brews and solid burgers.
Local Tip: In the summers, there is usually a fruit and veggie tent set up just across the street. It’s worth getting some local and regional produce.
Taphouses in Redmond Oregon
There are many more places to grab a cold one besides the three breweries in Redmond. There are dozens of excellent breweries in Bend that distribute their hoppy goodness to taphouses in Redmond.
Blacksmith Public House
Blacksmith Public House is an excellent spot for the whole family. In addition to local beers there is a large variety of food trucks surrounding tons of outdoor seating and a small lawn that is great for kids to play in.
Each time we go, there seems to always be a fun band playing live music or other event going on. Overall, Blacksmith is a great place to grab a bite to eat and a few drinks and bring the kids along.
Local Tip: They also serve ice cream and coffee!
Otto’s Landing
Otto’s Landing is a local favorite to grab a few brews and some food from one of several food trucks. There is a large bar and lots of tables inside with TVs showing sports. Outside there are more tables and lots of patio space.
Otto’s also has dedicated spaces for kids to play so bring them and the dogs! There are also two pool tables, dart boards, and a semi-private room to watch the big game. We live nearby and come to Otto’s a lot (perhaps too much) and always have a good time.
Local Tip: The upstairs porch is an excellent spot to sit and want the sunset on a warm evening.
Rimrock Taphouse
Rimrock Taphouse is close to downtown (everything is in Redmond). They have a huge selection of draft beers and other drinks, the usual pub food, and sports on screens.
There is also a great outdoor patio for warmer days. Overall a great place for a beer or two. Note they are adults only.
Local Tip: Local’s night is tuesday.
The Doghouse Brew Yard
The Doghouse Brew Yard is a combination dog park and brewery. You can let your dog play with other canines and run around while you drink beer and hang out. There are food carts right next door if you want a bite to eat. Overall a great place to grab a beer and/or food if you have a dog.
Local Tip: Tite Knot Craft Coffee makes great coffee and tasty bites and is just one block away from the Doghouse Brew Yard.
General Duffy’s Waterhole
General Duffy’s Waterhole is a laid-back taphouse with a small indoor seating area and a large outdoor patio with fire pits and food carts.
There is a fair-sized stage that hosts primarily country artists. They also recently opened a restaurant. Overall, Generally Duffy’s is a great place to grab a bite to eat and some beer, or plan for a country concert in the summer.
Local Tip: The Chinese food cart is really solid. We love the spicy noodles and wonton soup.
Bars in Redmond Oregon
Wayfarer Club
The Wayfarer Club is an upscale bar in the SCP Hotel that has incredible cocktails and quality finger food. The SCP Hotel is a great place to stay in Redmond but also a worthwhile visit. The historic building has a large lobby and full kitchen restaurant called Terra. Their bar, the Wayfarer Club is perfect for a drink and conversation.
Local Tip: They make a delicious margarita. Don’t pass up on their small plates either. Also, the rooftop terrace is a great place to catch the sunset and have a cocktail and small bite.
Wine Bars in Redmond Oregon
Equine Wine Bar
Equine Wine Bar serves a variety of wine in a homey and relaxed atmosphere near downtown Redmond. Tucked away on a side street, this wine bar was originally a wine cart that could be hired out for events.
Now, the wine cart continues alongside a physical location that is a local favorite for wine fans in Redmond. They focus on local and regional wines that can be enjoyed inside or on their outdoor patio.
Testimony Wine Bar
Testimony Wine Bar is a newer and welcomed addition to Redmond and is quickly becoming a favorite spot to socialize. The owners focus on local and regional wines that can be enjoyed alongside small plates.
