The Pavilion Ice Rink Bend Oregon

Located close to downtown Bend, The Pavilion features a spacious and covered ice-skating rink suitable for all ages and skill levels.

The Pavilion has a variety of skating sessions including open skate, family skate, and with a child skate.

The hours for these different session types can be seen on their schedule.

The Pavilion is managed by the Bend Park and Recreation District and offers affordable pricing and skating lessons. They even have curling lessons!

Local tip: Take advantage of the fire pits outside of the rink to help you stay warm while you watch people skate.

The Pavilion can get crowded on the weekends. Weekdays are typically less crowded.

Seventh Mountain Resort is one of the most popular resorts near Bend and has an amazing outdoor ice-skating rink!

As an uncovered ice rink, it is open to the elements. It can be extra magical to skate when it’s snowing, or the stars are out.

That said, they might close, or alter opening hours based on the weather. It’s probably worth it to call ahead of time if it’s snowing really hard.

Local tip: We recommend going at night, especially during the holidays when they have the lights set up.

They also have a solid restaurant and bar with fire pits right next to the ice rink, which is great if some people in your group don’t want to skate.

Local tip: This is one of the best places to stay in Bend for a ski trip to Mt. Bachelor.

Seventh Mountain Resort is the closest accommodation to the ski slopes and has other awesome amenities like a heated outdoor pool in addition to the ice rink.

Sunriver Village Ice Rink

The Sunriver Village Ice Rink is about 25 minutes from Bend and is a covered ice-skating rink.

Sunriver is a touristy area that can be fun to walk around. There are several cafes, shops, and restaurants.

The Village at Sunriver Ice Rink is the most expensive of the three options listed in this article. That’s because Sunriver is a vacation town with tourist prices.

Local tip: When in Sunriver, consider checking out the Sunriver Nature Center and Observatory. During the day they have great nature exhibits.

At night they the telescopes come out. In fact, it’s the largest accessible observatory in the nation.
