Deschutes Brewery is a local craft beer pioneer that has been delighting taste buds since its establishment as the first brewery in Bend in 1988.

In fact, some of the most popular Bend beers are their classics like the Black Butte Porter, Mirror Pond Pale Ale, Fresh Squeezed IPA, and Obsidian Stout.

10 Barrel Brewing

Founded in 2006, 10 Barrel Brewing has made a name for itself with its diverse beer selection. Originally bought by Anheuser-Busch, it is now owned by Tilray Brands.

Despite its corporate association, 10 Barrel Brewing continues to produce great beer and remains a testament to the success of Bend breweries.

Their brewpub on the west side of Bend is a great spot to enjoy their beer and the food is really solid as well. The outdoor patio is great for dogs and has cozy firepits on a cold day.

Boneyard Beer Bend

A Bend breweries list wouldn’t be complete without Boneyard Beer, founded in 2010.

Try their classics like the Bone-a-fide Pale Ale, RDM IPA, and their Hop Venom Double IPA.

Head over to their brew pub for a bite with your beer. They have big TVs so it’s a good spot to watch a sports game.

You can also check out their tiny tap room (also where they brew) which has samplers, growlers, and people ready to talk beer. There is sometimes a food cart also.

Ale Apothecary

The Ale Apothecary mixes modern day and historical brewing practices to produce beer in a more natural and less commercialized method.

At Ale Apothecary, Paul Arney brews barrel aged beer using Oregon-grown ingredients. Their brews are 100% naturally carbonated, with Oregon honey or fruit juices.

Their process goes something like this: mashed in oak, boiled in copper, open-fermented in wood vats, then aged in barrels. The real deal!

GoodLife Brewing Co.

GoodLife Brewing Co. was a welcomed addition to beer Bend Oregon has to offer when they opened their taps in 2011.

Their award winning Sweet As! Pacific Ale is always a great choice among Bend beers. Try their other classics and their seasonals as well.

Their family-friendly outdoor area has a large lawn and lots of tables as well as food trucks. This is a great spot on a warm sunny day.

With a selection of pub food available, it’s the perfect spot to unwind before catching a concert at the nearby Volcanic Theatre.

Sunriver Brewing

Established in 2012, Sunriver Brewing has quickly made a name for themselves in the central Oregon craft beer scene.

In 2024, they were announced the GABF National Brewery of the Year, demonstrating their continued success.

We love their classics like the Vicious Mosquito IPA, Fuzztail Hefeweizen, and Ripping NW Pale Ale. That said, they have tons of rotators and even some barrel aged beer.

Enjoy one of their beers at the west side or east side location in Bend. Of course, their original location in Sunriver is still going strong as well.

They’ve got great food as well. In fact, Sunriver Brewing is one of our go-to spots for a beer and food after a day of adventuring.

Crux Fermentation Project

Brewer owned and operated, Crux Fermentation Project has been delivering the goods since 2012 and recently opened a Portland location in 2023.

The Bend location is excellent: close to downtown with a large family friendly lawn and mountain views. Onsite food trucks are some of the best food trucks in Bend.

Crux Fermentation offers a diverse beer list as well as a handful of barrel aged beers and some cocktails.

Local tip: Crux is a great spot for sunset, especially during the warmer months. Also, keep an eye out for Cruxapalooza, an event of live music, vendors, food, and beer each June.

Oblivion Brewing Co.

Started by Darin Butschy, Oblivion Brewing was established in 2012, but his dream to make great beer in Oregon started long before that.

Inspired by sips from Deschutes Brewery, Darin started from a nanosystem and now runs a 10-barrel system putting out pales, pilsners, reds, blondes, and more!

Visit their small and cozy tap room on the north side of Bend that is a great spot to sample the goods and talk hops.

Worthy Brewing

Located on the east side of Bend, Worthy Brewing started something special in 2013.

Enjoy one of their flagship beers like the Strata IPA, Lights Out Stout, and Worthy Pilsner.

Their brew pub is spacious, with tons of indoor and outdoor seating, the latter of which is dog-friendly and has firepits for those chilly central Oregon nights.

They also host frequent live music, which is on a small stage and visible from almost all of the outdoor seating.

Their food is solid. They do a pretty good job with the pizzas, salads, and burgers.

Local tip: They also have a “hopservatory” which is a large telescope open to the public viewing most nights.

Finally, while their main location is on the east side of Bend, they have a downtown location combined with a chicken restaurant.

Monkless Belgian Ales

Started by brewmaster Todd Clement in 2014, Monkless Brewing filled a missing piece in the Bend craft beer scene: Belgian ales.

Starting on a nano-system, he couldn’t produce enough beer to satisfy the masses. Today, they produce a variety of delicious malty beer, often with high alcohol content.

We aren’t beer experts (we just enjoy drinking them) so we won’t do them injustice by trying to describe their style. You’ll just have to visit and try them out for yourself!

What we do know is that their brewpub is awesome! Located between the Old Mill and Arizona Ave, their brewpub is spacious, modern, and has great views of the Deschutes River.

Also, they do a great job with their food. Overall, this Bend brewery is a must visit if you like Belgian style beer!

Immersion Brewing

Immersion Brewing was founded in 2015 and is located in the Box Factory in a walkable area between downtown Bend and the Old Mill District.

Their indoor seating is modern, clean, and bright. We love the vibe of the copper-clad serving tanks behind the bar.

When the sun is shining, enjoy their dog-friendly outdoor patio. Overall, Immersion is a great spot to enjoy a refreshing beer and a tasty bite.

Local tip: Immersion Brewing is located close to some other great spots, including Gear Fix (used outdoor gear), Miyagi Ramen, and the Podski Food Truck Lot.

Bevel Craft Brewing

Bevel Craft Brewing was opened in 2019 by two renowned disc golfers who have turned their efforts toward brewing great beer.

Speaking of their beer, they have a lot of IPAs and stouts, as well as growler fill ups, “crowlers”, and limited edition 4 packs that go fast!

This disc-golf themed watering hole is a great place to hang out. They have a welcoming outdoor space with food trucks. They also have events like bingo, trivia, and live music.

Van Henion Brewery

Founded in 2021, Van Henion Brewery is a new addition to the Bend beer community, but its founders were previously brewers at Boneyard.

With deep experience in the brewing industry, these experts have a passion for crisp, German style lagers and bright IPAs.

We love their Helles Lager, IPA, and pilsner, but they also try their other year-round and seasonal beers.

Their tap room is located in northeast Bend, which is a bit out of the way. That said, it is cozy and well decorated, with two food trucks as well.

Overall, this new Bend brewery is a great stop on your tour of breweries in Bend.
