Treat Yourself at Zydeco

Zydeco is one of the most popular sit-down restaurants in Bend. It is a little on the fancy side and best reserved for a special occasion, but you can usually get a last-minute spot at the bar. The food is incredible. The service is excellent. The cocktails are well-crafted. Take your special someone out to a special date night at Zydeco.

Get Fancy at Ariana

If you are looking for high-end dining, Ariana is the place to go. You have to have a reservation and the menu is curated and changes regularly. For special occasions, splurge on the six-course chef’s tasting menu!

Hit the Street… Food at Spork

Spork is a unique restaurant inspired by street food from around the world. It has been one of my personal favorites since they used to serve out of an airstream trailer pre-2013. Be sure to try one of their fun drinks or craft cocktails.

Eat Family Style at Barrio

Barrio is another former food cart. While they have a larger space downtown now, they also have multiple food trucks serving at On Tap and Midtown Yacht Club. The paella mixta is a must and the margaritas are one of our absolute favorites in town.

Enjoy Some All-American Pub Food at Brother Jon’s Alehouse

Brother Jon’s, lovingly referred to as Bro Joes, is a local favorite. With two locations, one downtown and one on Galveston you can always pop over to the other location if the wait is too long. Order a Turkey Rachel and a local beer with a side of mac and cheese or the soup of the day. Everything is made fresh in house daily.

A Taste of PDX in Bend at Miyagi Ramen

You will feel like you just stepped into a much hipper town when you enter Miyagi Ramen. The music is usually loud and the artwork is leaning towards well done graffiti. It is definitely a fun vibe.

Miyagi Ramen Bend

Located in the Box Factory, we can’t help stopping by for their vegan ramen when we are chilly, or a little hungry. The creamy broth and little mushrooms make our day every time. Don’t forget to try the steamed buns.

Eat a Brunch of Champions at Chow

Chow is a favorite breakfast/brunch spot among Bend locals. The waits are long but with fire pits and drinks on the lawn out front and the best home fries ever waiting inside, it is worth it. Chow sources most of their ingredients locally and even grows some of the ingredients on the property.

Dudley’s is one of our all-time favorite spots in Bend. Abby has been coming here to buy books, do homework, play games, or just sit and read for years. It is so cozy to enjoy a chai upstairs at a table full of friends on a blustery winter day. We suggest ordering the Prana Chai (they are the only place in town that serves it) with macadamia nut milk and relaxing with a book.

Pick Up a Bold Brew at Backporch
